Biography

Dr. Brock Mullenbach is a board-certified sports medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) physician with fellowship training in primary care sports medicine. He earned his medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Downers Grove. He then completed his internship in internal medicine at Advocate Lutheran General in Park Ridge and his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab/McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago. He received his sports medicine fellowship training at Loyola Medicine MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn.

As a PM&R sports medicine physician, Dr. Mullenbach’s practice focuses on non-operative orthopedic care, including ultrasound-guided injections. He takes a special interest in working to optimize the movement and functionality of his patients. As a physician who enjoys treating both young athletes and adults, he strives to improve the quality of life of his patients through a holistic approach to musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. Ultimately, his goal for his patients is to help them achieve and maintain an active lifestyle for as long as possible.

He currently serves as a team physician at Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School and Olivet Nazarene University. He has previously served as a team physician for Loyola University Chicago women’s soccer and volleyball teams, Lewis University, Argo Community High School, and has covered the WTA 125 Chicago in addition to a number of races in the Chicagoland area, including the Chicago Marathon.

Outside of the office, Dr. Mullenbach enjoys an active lifestyle and spending time with his family and friends, oftentimes outdoors. You can regularly find him working out, playing tennis and volleyball, reading, trying new restaurants, and hiking when he travels.

Whether you’re an aspiring athlete, a weekend warrior, or staying active with your grandkids, I believe in the importance of movement for good health. With each patient, my mission is to understand your goals and develop a treatment plan that allows you to return to the things you love.
