About OAK Surgical Institute

OAK Surgical Institute (OSI) is an ambulatory surgery center that performs orthopedic surgeries and pain procedures only.  The facility contains two state of the art OR suites and 10 pre-surgical and post-surgical recovery bays.

OSI is the only ambulatory surgery center in the area that specializes in orthopedic care.  Our focus is to provide outpatient orthopedic and pain surgical services to the Kankakee County community and all other surrounding communities.

Oak Surgical Institute, LLC is a partnership between physicians, local healthcare providers and the patients we collectively serve. Through this partnership we will provide area residents access to surgical services that are of the highest quality delivered in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible. We will abide by all rules and regulations that govern our industry and will distinguish ourselves on our ability to provide each patient, who is entrusted in our care, with the highest degree of professionalism and compassion in returning them to optimal health.

Our Staff

Our surgery center is staffed by all experienced OR nurses, recovery room nurses and OR technologists.

Preoperative Instructions

You will be given your initial pre-operative instructions on the day your doctor schedules you for surgery. These will include the time and date of your surgery, the location of the surgery center, information on the intake of liquids and food, information on whether you need to see your personal medical doctor for a history and physical, if you require any lab tests.

You will then be contacted 2-3 days before the day of surgery by a registered nurse from Oak Surgical Institute to review your medical history (please have a list of your medications at this time).

Further instructions on pre-op and post-op care will be given at this time and any questions and concerns you have will be addressed.
